I had Speer Cushion Co. in Holyoke, CO re-upholster my 7060 black belly seat.  Their standard 7000 luxury seat comes with a red/black material that is supposed to match what they thought was the original black belly cloth material.  The cloth material in the seats that had come to them to be re-upholstered was a very faded original cloth that had faded to a kind of maroon hue after years of sun.  So they evidently thought that red/black material was a good match.   After studying an Allis color brochure of the Black Belly line-up, it appeared to me that the original color of the seat material was a brown/orange.  I asked them to use this brown cloth material (they use this material with brown vinyl for the 8000 series seats) and to frame the seat bottom and seat back in black vinyl similar to the original luxury seat.  They reinforced the seams where the vinyl is sewn to the cloth because that is where the old seats wore out first.

I think that it looks pretty good, and I wanted to give kudos to Speer Cushion Company for their good work.  Their website is Speercushion.com and Debbie is the owner and company president, so speak to her and tell her that you want a AC 7000 RB seat, but with 8000 cloth and the seat back and seat bottom framed with black vinyl.

Wow Dana great looking seat. It amazes me that we have all spent days weeks and years sitting on a metal sisc with a hex holt head sticking up! I passed an Amish guy sitting on some old piece of equipment and he had it covered with a handful of roadside grass for cushoning.

Captain Dana:  I used that pan seat while the original was at Speer Cushion.  My back side is sure glad they sent it back.
Dave 63:  The cost was slightly over half of what you spent on your 7000.  I was pleased with the cost.
Henry:  Who did the seat on your 7045 HC?
