the old lady's....ooooops….I mean the loving wifes B-day is coming up this month and I was sitting at the coffee table in town the other morning, told the BIL and SIL that I gots her a new vacuum cleaner for her B-day! the BIL high fives me and the SIL wigged the "F" out! whew! so we both went to the casino to eat tonight, we played a bit (did very well), and while sitting in the restaurant asked what she wanted for her special day meal? she says what ever I wanted to cook! I told her I gots something special to feed her and asked what sides she wanted? sautéed onions and garlic bread she says...o-k, I can put them onions all over the top of the liver! and SHE wigged out in front of everyone in there! lol guess she don't want no liver and onions! she don't read anything on here so i'll tell ya i'll be doing a prime rib for her! I gave her the vacuum cleaner already!

I don't blame her for not wanting liver and onions. The liver filters all of the poison out of the critter's body, and then folks eat it....? Kind of favors eating a used oil filter. Darrel

Naw Darrel, liver tastes good. You ever get some oil in your mouth when you're under the truck or the tractor and it drips down on yer mouth? Take my word for it, liver tastes 1000 times better!!

Just remember how quick you can lose them though.

Yep, she is fixin to be 68 next weekend and then the followin week we be hitched for 51 years,,,dang thas a LONG time,,,, I never did like Christmas, New Years, her birthday then our anniversary all in bout two weeks. I best be lookin for something to get back in the good,,,,

Joyce is running after me yelling,,,,"Let The Bit** jump,,I'll help her" Well,,Donna didn't jump thet night, so my cousin tells me,,,You better leave with that girl, cause Joyce is telling us,,she's gonna kick her azz,,,,,,,Bout 3 months later we eloped to Artesia,,,,and been here ever since,,,and,,,,and,,,,thas the troot

Joe, I was going to tell you that "at least ya got her before she was set in her ways", but it kind of sounds like she was set in her ways already then. Maybe the strong willed, north dakotan was coming out in her. Lol.
My wife and I were both 28 when we got hitched, and let me tell ya what, she was set in her ways by then! Somehow, me being 28 also, I should have been set in my ways also, bit somehow still was pretty flexible. Guess anything bends with enough pressure applied. Lol Darrel

These are some good reads. Like Darrel, got married later, 29. After all this time, Miss Kristi has me all broke in just the way she wants me. Can't imagine being retrained by some one else now.

We as well, I at 29 with the Wife at 23, she had never lived ANYWHERE but her folks home, was a serious disconnect she had to deal with. We been at it since '84, married in '85 so 34 years this summer, have big plans for 35th, long trip maybe a Alaska Cruise/Rail adventure as she has only been off Continental states one time to Hawaii so far in her life.

Well,,Mr Miller,,,thas good that she wants to travel,,,My wife never was a travelin woman unless it included trips to her kinfolks in California or to Nort Dakota. but long about 15 years ago she hasn't even wanted to go then,,,,,,,much better for ole Joe,,cause she would not help drive and I like to watch the scenery too much lookin for Deers and Elks,,, A "short" story,,, ,,, The last time she drove when we was vacationin,,,we was in Albuquerque and wantin to go to Santa Fe to go a big market at the state capital. I took a short snooze soon as we left Albuq.,,,,,and,, she drove,,,and she drove,,,bout 2 hours later I wake up and ask,,"Why ain't we in Santa Fe yet?" She tells me ,,"I never seen a road sign tellin me to get off Freeway yet,,!! So she drives for another hour or so before we get to next town,,but nothing looks familiar so we pull into a gas station and,,,,and,,,we is fixin to get into Colorado,,,!!!!! She never drove no more while vacationing,,!!!
