    Posted: 01 May 2017 at 11:56am
I am in the process of reconditioning my 80T Trail Mower (Serial #T33xx), but getting ahold of a new "bar balance spring - A/C part #70804141) is not possible since it is no longer available from AGCO, so it looks like I will have to substitute another spring for it.

Does anyone have any specifics (O.A. length, O.A. diameter, spring metal diameter, tension factors, etc.) or a source for a replacement spring that I could use in its place? The current spring has been welded on and I am not sure it's even the correct one to boot.

Any help/information would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance; Farmer Tom

Gary;

No it is not that one; according to the parts/set up manual that spring is referred to as the "inner shoe balance spring". The spring I am looking for is at the rear of the mower and goes between the pto drive tailpiece and the twin-wheel drive unit. Thanks, Tom

Tom...Your # is correct.  I sent you a email with pics and measurements.  Came off an 80T. There's more than one of those springs and some times they get interchanged.  So give the info a look....Thanks...Dale
