How heavy is an average bale from the roto baler? Can they be slung on a trailer and stacked like square bales?

Depends on the type of hay. (30-65lbs) Yes, they can be slung on the trailer. There stacked by blocking the front of the hay rack by a 2x2 or 4x4. |

Its all about making the windrow the right width. To skinny will make the bales conehead.

The tractor has new rear rims and tires. The paint is all original excpect the wheels. I always wanted a clean 17IV. I had to pay dearly! |

Thats ok you got what you wanted and if cared for you wont ever lose money on it either.I bought mine with a loader and was so-so shape but i had to repair a ton of things and a overhaul,so mine wasnt cheap by no means.I dont think i will ever by an older loader tractor again. There hard on everything.Just curios whats your serial number ,close to mine, thanks John.Have fun.

That is one mighty fine pair. I've had 2 roto balers for years, and have never made a bale with either one of them yet. Always keep saying that next year I'll have time. Guess next year never has come yet. Darrel

My father used a roto baler on our dairy farm for a while. He was good at keeping it adjusted and running. Ditto on making wide windrows for proper bales. The windrow needs to be as wide as a bale to make nice consistant bales. We stacked them like square bales ,crossed them on top of the row below, would kind of lock them together and keep them from rolling off the end. We did not have far to take them though.
