So I own a used JD 2305TLB.  Nice little guy.  Folds up and takes up minimal space.
looking to get something bigger but not too large.  Series 2 or 3 size.  Without an Aluminum transmission case etc.  Had a question about the Backhoe attachments from manufactures such as Titan, Bushhog, Bradco etc.

The attachments without a model specific subframe that mount on the 3 pt, are they decent?  Will the tractor handle the setup without causing damage?
Or should I strictly stay with a subframe mounting ssystem?
Thx

Does your 3 point have down pressure because without down pressure all your going to have is the weight of the hoe attachment to hold it down

and depends on what you plan on doing with it? and Tadams is right, need down pressure 3-pt, or a way to lock it down.

also...I see a lot of those 3-pt backhoes on auctions. and every one of them, the controls are shot. the rest of the units are still good, but all the hyd controls must be light duty stuff.
