1965 (about) Allis Chalmers B-110 garden tractor generator/starter drive belt replacement. It looks like it is necessary to dismantle the drive shaft to get the new belt on the engine pulley. Isn’t there an easier way?

When you pull the two driveshaft bolts, keep a pen magnet on the driveshaft spacers to help keep them from falling under the engine. You can also use a pen magnet to help get them back in place.
