I have a project where I would like to put a remote electric water temp gauge on my B. (the remote mechanical gauges have a 72" thermocouple that I don't want to deal with) I can find many sensors that will fit, but I don't know that they have the reach into the water stream that the original sensor/gauge has. How critical is this length, and is there an automotive sensor that has a log reach like the original mechanical sensor/gauge? Any and all help will be appreciated.
