I am giving the tractors some TLC. Would like confirmation of my assumptions with the spark timing. It has the magneto.
My C flywheel has a F mark on it. I can't find a C mark. If I am running 1200 rpm, using a timing light, the F mark should light up centered in the timing hole? Is this F mark at 30 degrees BTDC? The magneto has no varying advance, F is centered same at 600 rpm or 1200. Correct? The magneto's impluse coupling retards the spark by 30 degrees when hand cranking? That means the start spark happens at about TDC? Thank you |
