Of the early C's with hand brakes were made?? any input would be appreciated. thanks in advance. Like doing research on the variations.

5755 were built with hand brakes, all of which also had a short steering arm.

Thanks Lonnie, I bought a pair of C's a couple weeks ago, one of them is tractor #49
which puts it at a 1940 according to my books-the first year. I will be picking these jewels up soon. Strangely enough, the other tractor is 83994 which is right at the end of production. I will post pics when I get em home. I was curious as to the production of the hand brake C's I thought maybe they were a little scarcer than that.

When you get #49 home could you check out the engine serial # for me. On my C#30 the serial # is on the back of the block in the center like the BE engines were but it's a CE engine. It'll be interesting to find out where your # is and how close it is to matching the tractor #.
