Farmall Super Cs verses Allis CAs
    There is a youngster with a farm stock Super C that is giving this old man with his CA a hard row to hoe. 
     All things being equal (more or less) other than tire size. I run cheater 13-6 24s. Kid runs stock 11-2 36s and has a definite traction advantage in the just under 4000 lb class.
     For me to get the CA to this Super C  weight I need 300# of water and 500# of iron + wheel weights and engine side weights.  +, I'm 200# with my boots on.  Horsepower is not a issue.
     Both machines lift the front just a little bit when things get tuff
     The last three times we met on different tracks pulling different sleds he got me by more than just a little bit.
     Where Do I go from Here?   Narrower Tires?   About a year ago a CA like mine on 11-2 24s left me in the dust.

That is too high of a weight class for the CA.

     Without ballast water and suitcase weights my Certified Weight is  2840 #. Around these parts at most pulls there is no competition in 3000 and 3500.  Pulling in these classes by ones self guarantees you first place and last place braging rights.  That's no fun at all and that says it all.
Yesterday with perfect weather and track conditions my only other competition was this good pullin Super C. Track scale had us close at 3940. Worst I could do is place second. Just wish to be second by 10 inches instead of 10 feet.
   I should mention I load the 13-6 24s on 11 inch rims with 300# of water each where my pulling weight would be 3440# in 3500# class. I can pull farm stock or comp in 3500.

If memory serves "Pinky" pulled that pink C in up to 5500# class. Broke final drives pretty regular too.

  Around here WD's and WD45's pull 3500# , 4000, some in 4500.  Here a CA would be at a severe dis advantage in any thing over 3000.   Its not hard to get a wd to 3500,  it might be time to trump him ....A wd45 will pull heavier yet but you'll run out of places to hang weights , unless you really like throwing wheel weights around....

The Little Pink Tractor she pulled only weighs 2150 and my WC weighs 3150 and I`m not weight them to 5000 so they have not been pulled for 2 years.

Hi Ken!
      I checked on the Tractor Data .Com for a comparison between the Super C and the CA. The Super C is rated at 1400 RPM compared to the CA at 1650 RPM.
The Ca should have about 400 lb more drawbar pull than the Super C. Your Tires are wider than the rated testing and his are taller with ground speed of the CA being slower by .4 mph.
I would wonder about his RPM being higher than rated!
 
I have been pulling in the 3200, 3500, and 3700 lb classes against a farmall C with a Combine replacement engine with higher RPM's.
 
I did beat him!!

The Farmall super C or C does have the advantage on most tracks I have pulled on in the 3000 pound class due to the larger diameter tires. A real sticky track will even the odds.
When I pulled both my Farmall C and my Allis C in the same class where they watched RPM's The Farmall C out pulled my Allis C. The 9.5 X 36 tires on the Farmall C held traction until it would die if I didn't make a full pull.

The pink tractor never pulled heavier than 3700 lbs!!!! Never was enought weight brackets on it for any heaver class and no way the frt would have stayed on the ground. That was one bad ass tractor in 2700 and 3200 lbs classes w C axle and trans when there was no speedlimit.
