I drove past a farmstead that I knew had a series 1 XT on the property (with  a cab) as I've driven past the place for several years. I recently saw the RH side of the tractor parked close to the road and saw a circular "cover" on the side of the lower/front sheet metal Confused ?? I've seen pics on Tractor House listings but never gave it much thought, what is the purpose of the round hole ?? Thanks

Thanks guys, I never dreamed of the A/F  access. Did the "grill" not remove as easily as the series 2/3 ?

grill is essentially the same, just difference in appearance, but the element was too long to get out of the air cleaner without the access hole. The hinged panel is on some 200's I think.

Yes, the 200 has a hinged door.
