    Posted: 17 Jun 2014 at 11:26am
Hello - we have a AC FC60-24PS forklift being serviced.  I have a couple questions.

What type of hydraulic fluid is required for the hydraulic system?

What engine is in this beast?  It is gasoline fueled.

What type of motor oil is recommended?

Is there a service manual available?

Thanks - Nate

Its an allis/buda engine is some type b230 maybe? 10w30 is fine for motor oil. Aw32 or 46 for hyd. Call a komatsu dealer for a service manual or look online.

There are 3 ways to do job GOOD, FAST, CHEAP. YOU MAY CHOOSE 2. If its FAST & CHEAP it won't be GOOD, if it's GOOD & CHEAP it won't be FAST, and if its GOOD & FAST it won't be CHEAP!!!!

Would 15w40 be ok since it's a heavy duty gas engine?

Thanks for your advice!  The local Komatsu person who answered the phone claimed that this machine is too old to find a service manual.

They are letting the ac forklifts die. They don't want to be bothered.

He was rather brief on the phone - even so - it did sound like he wasn't interested in digging any information up on this forklift.
