Guys the lift works just fine on the pick-up but the lift arms wont fall under their own weight when I go to lower them . It will lower some with the weight of a implement on it but seems to me the arms should lower all the way down unloaded . This makes it near impossible to attach my bush hog because the arms are not low enough . Is there an adjustment I can make to make it release ? BTW it is a D15 series 2 . TIA

You have to stand on the arms to get them down with cold oil and probably with hot oil too. The LIFT/LOWER lever must be pulled down BELOW horizontal and the Traction Booster lever must be clear down (horizontal).

The hyd reservoir is the tranny. Maybe someone used 80W fluid in the tranny. You might want to drain the tranny fluid and replace it with "Trans/Hyd" fluid.

On a Series II there is a lowering adjustment on the left side under the fuel tank. Look at your operators manual.

The lowering speed adjustment screw is for when the Traction Booster system is in operation. It allows you to control the speed of drop when the Traction Booster lowers the implement when the pull load is decreased. When the system is in use, the LIFT/LOWER lever is horizontal and held there by the pin caught in the lower quadrant window. The LIFT/LOWER lever can be pulled below horizontal to fast drop the implement at the end of the field. This adjustment screw has no effect on the drop rate when the LIFT/LOWER lever is pulled down below horizontal.
