My son is restoring an Allis Chalmers model c for his 4-H Ag Mechanics project. He is trying to find out how they ran the wiring harness from the factory across the block to the front. Also was there two insulated posts on the radiator to attach the headlights or just one on the left side. Thanks for your help.

The wiring harness ran from the instrument box, under the Battery box (if equipped) behind the air filter, dropped under the Carburetor to the Generator. From there, the Headlight lead went to the insulated junction attached to the fan shroud, through a rubber grommet in the fan shround out to each Headlamp. The Mag or Distributor circuit went up and around the front of the engine (valve cover area) around the corner to the Mag or Distributor. (whichever it was equipped with.) If it had a Battery ignition (Distributor) that circuit ran to the negative side of the coil which was mounted off of the Distributor drive via a coil bracket. The positive side of the coil went to the Distributor. (Positive ground systems) HTH
