I just bought an Allis Chalmers D272, perkins diesel.
I have a clutch pedal adjustment problem. In rest position, the pedal is raised and held in high position by the return spring of the pedal rod. When I operate the pedal, the stroke is significant and to disengage the pedal goes down until ( under) horizontal. Which is not very comfortable in the driving position. The screw adjustment on the pedal rod is insufficient. We could think that the rod is too short. Is this operation way normal for the D272? Or is there something wrong somewhere? |
