There is a 1951 Allis Chalmers CA at a dealership in Missouri. I'm not familiar with ACs, and definitely not with the CA. So, I would like to get more specifics on them, i.e. hydraulics, features, opinions, etc. Thanks.

That most likely will be a "Pin" hitch setup which came out before the standardized snap coupler. Handy tractors if you have the implements to go with it. Powerful for its size. Basic hydraulics (IH was way ahead)

gee, my '51 CA had Snap-Coupler AND the traction boot gauge on the steering column. Yeah, I should have kept it.... if only we could go back in time.....sniff,sniff fun lil beastie, be sure hand clucth works

It is in Lamar, Mo at Heritage Tractor, what was Purinton's. The tractor looks familiar, I can't remember where I've seen it though. I would love to have it to put my CA loader on and keep the Woods L306 on my narrow front CA.

There is wide front CA on Craigslist in Halfway, Mo for $900. That is more my price range. I had a Model 160 pull type rotary mower I sold last spring, now I wish I would have kept it. It worked great with a CA, maybe I can buy it back. It may be worth a trip to Lamar to look at this one though! It had good looking rear tires on it and looked to be a solid looking little tractor.

Yep that is the Pin Hitch design. To use 3-point implements you would need to build or buy an adapter
I like mine but it is a limited use tractor unless you have the implements to go with it.

Looks like I will have to sell some of my duplicate implements and hope it doesn't sell until I can get down to look at it! I have a snap couple dirt scoop and an Oxnard rear blade if any one needs them. Also a Bush Hog Model 306 three point rotary mower and 2 Cross Mfg. three point adapters for a CA, WD or WD45 and a Woods L59 mower for a B, C, or CA. Thanks, Tim p.s. You have first call to buy it, you saw it first. I use my CA to mow my yard and it does a great job and is fuel efficient to boot. Mine has turf tires and a Woods L306 mower under it. I mow the big part of the yard and my wife gets around the house and trees with the zero turn. It doesn't take long to mow. I would like to have a CA with a wide front to put my loader on it. I have 2 sets of wheel weights and the snap couple hitch I took off my CA when I put the mower on it that I would put on a wide front CA if I had one. They are great little tractors for their size, just a little hard to get on and off of!

Check the left rear rim, appears to be a bunch of rust around the valve stem. Front tires will have to be replaced and it looks like one front rim, can't imagine that screw is in there to keep it from spinning on the rim. LOL Rear tires look good and that is a big plus, pin hitch is a minus in my world but I'm not looking to buy it. I paid just a bit more than that for a fresh rebuilt one about 3 years ago, had new fronts but rears weren't as good. CA's are fun little powerhouses, will surprise you how much power they have for a small tractor. Check the hand clutch to make sure it works. Now if you start putting it back to original it's gonna get a little pricey but for everyday use, drawbar equipment it's a great little unit. Remember the hydraulics are one way, pressure up, gravity down.

Nah, go for it if you want it. If it's still there after a while, maybe, but honestly I would rather have a Farmall H or a AC WD.

If for some reason, it's still for sale in the future, since it's set up for drawbar implements, I have a No. 8 Little Genius 2-12 plow that I believe it can pull. I would prefer, though, a narrow front tractor.

Very strong, powerful, small tractor. We have two of them and use them for a variety of jobs. Have 6’ Woods belly on one and rotate attachments on the other. We have sickle bar, plows, cultivators, and corn planter. We also have it set up where we can change from snap coupler to a 3 point hitch set up that slides into the snap coupler in a matter of minutes. The are a very handy little tractor when done this way.
