Question, Allis CA engine once upon a time had a rebuild kit "Power Pack", my Father installed but I can no longer mine his wealth of knowledge. This may/may not have been the proper terminology. This kit would increase Horsepower maybe 3-4 horse.
Does anyone know what was different in the kit??, liner/piston diameter or piston dish/flat top??? OR,,,,,
Is it possible to still obtain this kit??
I have a CA I am restoring, that has a leaking liner and a lightly scored liner.
Thanks for responses.

Could be taller pistons for higher compression ratio to use modern higher octane gasoline or thinner wall sleeves for a bigger cylinder bore.

I have a shop manual for G, B, C, and CA on line at: http://geraldj.networkiowa.com/Trees/Allis-Chalmers-G-B-C-CA-Service.pdf

Most likely what is called an over bore kit. It takes it from 3 3/8" pistons to 3 7/16" pistons.

I remember the original B tractor came out with a smaller bore engine - 116 Cu In to 125 Cu In.  When we rebuilt them we always put in the larger motor kit - sleeves, rings, pistons, and wrist pins.  Upped the horsepower a few.  Customers always appreciated it.
I do not recall an oversize kit being made for the CA.  However, some after market person could have, as Dick says, increased the bore or raised the cylinders a little to increase power
Good Luck!
