Hey everyone,
Never had any insulators or webbing on the gas tank of my 1940 B. Wondering what tank webbing I need to purchase and where to install it to help protect the tank. Thanks

You can find the woven strap material at most fabric shops. Can’t remember for sure but I’m thing 1 1/2” the 2” wide should work. Place it where the bottom of the tank rests on the support and between the tank and the upper metal strap.

Finding tanks that don't leak or fixing so they don't leak is getting harder as these things age, well worth effort to protect the tank.

If you can get your hands on some fire hose material, that works really well. You can cut it with a box knife and glue it down.

Fire hose is a little too thick.  It's hard enough to get the top strap on without that extra thickness.  I'd go to one of the vendors on here, or Army/Navy stores and get a belt or two.
