Trying to rebuild the hydraulic pump on my 190XT and the drive shaft splines were shot. Ordered new shaft part number 70244027 and the gear width is too wide. The rebuild kits are correct minus the shaft seal being too big. Ordered the parts for pump number 70248735 being that’s the only style pump part number agco shows.

My pump is 70248602 and I cannot find any information about that pump. Is that the original part number pump and Is an obsolete pump? Don’t have a parts book for a 190 and currious what the original parts book shows if anyone has one.

You say your pump is a 248602 ?? Is that from a tag on the pump ?? I'm guessing that pump subbed up to (70)248735 (triple section old style) , for which you have the right shaft p/n of 70244027.  I'd take both new and old shaft to where you got the new shaft and show them your dilemma. Either the new shaft is made wrong or boxed wrong. Someone in AGCO parts needs to figure it out.  They might have 100 incorrect shafts on hand and don't even know it.

I could not find a 70248602 or 248602 pump for the 190. 248735 is the pump listed in the old parts book for the 190.

The 248602 pump has a wider front gear plate, which would be for more capacity. The 4027 shaft I got is definitely the correct shaft for 735. And the shaft seal is also a different size on 248602. Right now on eBay there is a 248602 triple pump. Yes, the 248602 is the part number on the tag. Seems like we have mystery pumps running about.

So, I looked up a picture of a D21 hydraulic pump and the gear plate sizes on it look similar to mine, but the parts number on a D21 pump still doesn’t match mine.

The older 190, 190XT and D-21 are the only models that use that style of triple section pump.

So I had the local agco dealer compare my specs of the drive shaft do that of a D21 pump, exact match to 70241116. Does anyone have any parts D21 pumps? Looking for a new drive shaft for it. AGCO has them, but it’s just a spare pump and wouldn’t mind putting in a good used shaft if anyone has one.
