On the 72, replacing the countershaft drive belt appears to be a major pain in the ass...
Seems like the lower shaft needs to be pulled, along with the numerous sheaves and what nots on it. Is there a easier way? Thanks Tom

I replaced mine several years back and I got the belt from you! I don't have my manual or the combine in front of me so I will have to get back with you. I remember it did require removing a few things to get to it. Ryan

I got to look at things tonight Tom and you dont have to remove the countershaft which is about 16" long. You need to lift the cover on the feeder housing and loosen the shaft collar and then remove the bolt that holds the sickle drive sprocket and combined belt hub on. then slide the shaft out towards the left and you can then slip the belt over and around. Not the easiest but not the hardest. Ryan

You pull it out off the feeder house just enough to get the belt over the shaft. It really isnt that bad. Ryan
