Me and my friend went looking at tractors (AC's of corse) today and this was sitting on the lot we were at.

Could this be AGCO's answer to us wanting an orange tractor? I think it just rubs salt in the wounds.

When I seen this I immediately wondered what you guys would think about it so I took this picture of it with my phone.

That's right, it is the same shade of orange that was on the AC and AGCO tractors.

Take the massey name off and just use agco and they might be headed in the right direction. Then all they have to fix is the dealership issues.

I wonder if they painted it custom for a customer ? What's the deal with the front wheel ? Looks like the bolts are off center ?

I looked that model up and they have not made it for ten years. Somebody has repainted it.

Pretty much all the major manufacturers offer their tractors in yellow or orange for sale for government service for highways.  It is for the visibility.
As the one guy said, this is an older tractor.

I can understand it being painted orange for the highway dept. This is a factory paint job. I looked the thing over really good and you can tell it is not a repaint.

So what is different between this orange MF and the comperable AGCO for that year other than the stickers and the badge on the grille?? My guess is nothing.

That's an AGCO LT tractor.  More likely someone put MF stickers on it.

Honestly I don't there should be any difference between the MF and AGCO tractors to reduce overhead.  Still, the AGCO's I believe used to have slightly different trim on the cabs and AGCO's were usually decked out with most of the options standard where MF had more options and you could cheapen down.

Thats sickening to see, AGCO just needs to go back to brand name its equipment again and paint it orange like everyone on here and in the country wants. And get dealers and parts for the equipment

When the DTb series came out, I was at my dealer looking at a pric sheet they had and the AGCO was cheaper by 4 ot 5,000. My dealer just said it was because of options, but the massey didnt have the internal options that the AGCO had standard such as hydrolic pump. It was the same price for the AGCO with the better pump as it was for the massey without it.

Has anyone seen the new adds Agco has for its Challenger and Massey tractors. The add says in bold letters New favorite color and then underneath it says that people don't buy something based on its color they buy for its performance. Just seems like they are rubbing salt into the wounds of the Allis guys. Just my 2 cents worth, though.
