I just called the local agco dealer in Statesville to order some parts, he said " I can order these parts, but have no idea when we will get them. We are in bankruptsy". Any truth to this?

The dealer himself would be in bankrupcy, not AGCO. I would assume it's true if they told you.

AGCO's stock is up so I doubt they are in bankruptcy, they are lacking on common sense!

The dealership probably is going bankrupt. It would be tough to make a living starting out as a Massey dealer without a lot of other lines of equipment and services bringing in some cash flow.
AGCO/Massey in one of the more profitable eras in NA farm history manges to have famers beating a path AWAY frrom their door.

Dealership in bankruptcy, not AGCO. Trust me, we would know by now if AGCO was in bankruptcy. "We" means the dealership. Dealerships are their own business.

Our parts department orders parts everyday and parts are delivered to us usually in 1-3 Days depending on what depot they come out of. If the dealer is not current with AGCO they will not be able to order parts until there current bill is paid. I would call another dealer. |
