Probably a dumb question, but do you have right speed selected and the right pto shaft in?

Had a GT series AGCO that did same thing, very frustrating, if there isn't any unusual internal sounds and correct oil amount than I would say it is the pto switch! Switch changed and no problems after. Was told there was problems with original switches and new heavier duty switches were replacement!

Is it getting a good speed reading, the reason I asked about pto shaft is if the wrong one is in for selected speed it will run briefly then kick out. There is a sensor that reads the holes in the outer round part of your pto shafts. I think that it's the one you can see on top in back. Maybe these wires are bad or sensor?

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

The problem is you would need something like 4 WD's to match the HP.

That would also take 3 other people off the unemployment line to drive those other 3 WDs. Also look at the compaction problem you wouldn't have with a bunch of 4000 pound tractors instead of on 20,000+ plus one. compaction was never and issue in the years past, before No-Till. Much like the 3500+ head dairy farms that milk round the clock with immigrant labor that have put the "family farm" out of business.

The computer on the tractor has to "see" PTO RPM's and it has to match what the engine speed is or it will assume the PTO clutch is slipping and then disengage.
