We are looking at a Agco Massey Ferguson 5711. It is 12x12 power shuttle with cab and loader. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this series?

I drove one of those at Husker Harvest days, and I really liked the sloping hood for visability, was very comfortable in the cab, and the controls were in a good place to use.

I’m interested knowing if anyone owns one or knows someone who owns one. I’ve read that article before and watched some videos but that really tells me nothing. I’ve drover one around the lot at the dealer also. I interested how they are working after they get some hours on them.

I'd rather have one of those than a green one.

Both of those reviews are on the 5700s tractors, are you looking at an S series or just a straight 5700?  We have only sold a couple of the 5700 but sold 25+ 4700 which are same design just smaller and have had great reports on both.

We are looking at a 5711 global with deluxe cab. I have talked to two dealers and neither could tell me what was worth 20,000 more on the SL series. I have figured out hat it has a 16x16 transmission vs 12x12. And the loader bracket may be a little different.

We have had a Massey 4610 with loader now for 3 years now. Use it a lot . Seems to be very dependable.

The SL tractors are built in France and have a much nicer cab, electronic system, hydraulic controls, and the transmission options.  BUT in my opinion for most of our customers those options do not add up to $20K when in all honestly most only get 100-200 hours a year.  We have not sold a 5700SL yet but did sell a few 5600 to customers that are putting 500+ Hours a year on them and could justify the extra expense.

So does Agco offer any extended service warranty or insurance plan? The amount of wiring on new Equipement makes me nervous.

Nice tractor which would look even better in orange.  What is the list price?

I know the 5700 series and 2700H series are different, however this might answer some peoples questions. I just purchased a new Massey 2607H that came with a 5 year warranty. Been working great so far. Open station, front wheel assist, loader. Paid around the $30,000 price range. One of things I liked about the 2600H series was the small amount of electronics on them which makes them simple. Wasn't sure about the Simpson motor but so far so good. With 0% interest for 8 years and a 5 year warranty it was hard to pass up. Seems to me Massey is making a 'come back' in my neck of the woods.

It looks like the 5700 has quite a bit more wiring then the 2700 series. Everything is electric over hydraulic.

Extended Warranty is available, I do not sell many plans to give you a ballpark number off hand.  If anyone has questions feel free to email me dale@mayerfarmequipment.com

Electrical, if it doesn't have a computer, isn't that difficult to troubleshoot. I suppose the engine is Tier IV and is monitored by a computer.

FWIW Kioti offers tractors in this HP range in AWD with a loader and shuttle. They advertise a 6 year warranty. I suppose if you don't have a dealer near you the warranty means little.

We took delivery on it a few weeks ago. I haven’t put many hours on it yet but it is pretty comfortable to drive. And it is very quite inside the cab.

Tractor warranties -  there are many tractor brands that offer warranties.  Always check and ask if the entire warranty is by the manufacture.  There are warranties out there that are short term manufacture warranty and the extended portion is by a third party. These are the people who call up and try to sell you warranty on a used car you just bought.
Probably 50% of the warranties we run thru Agco  after the first year of ownership are not really warranty... - ( Dale will probably  back me up on this)   We dealers with the blessing of Agco will help the customer out in most cases.   We are trained to be creative journalists somewhere between non fiction and adventure series on the claim description to allow the analyst  to process the claim.  One can never lie on a warranty claim, if caught you are done for, however you don't have to tell everything you know.  We once warrantied   a windshield for a Super series Gleaner.   The customer said it just broke setting in a shed.   Then another broke,,, we warrantied this ,,, he was certain there was a defect in the design until he caught his grandson and the neighbors kids playing baseball with  rocks with a hoe handle  for a bat in the tool shed....

When told "it's not the money,it's the principle", remember, it's always the money..

Put about 100 hours on a 5613 a couple years ago. Very nice tractor. I've driven the other brands the same size and vintage. Massey Ferguson/Allis Gleaner Co is by far my favorite. Seems better built than the others with better options.
