 Topic: Adjusting Hydraulics on WD45

I am trying to adjust the hydraulics on my 45. It has no lifting power. On step #1, you screw in the lower screw. WHAT do you screw this into?? Then step #2 screw in to the body to separate the plates. The only step I am having trouble with is step one. WHAT do I screw this into? It says the body, but when I move the lever it tends to slide down.

I believe they are callimg for screw "A" at the bottom , under the fram rail.
There is a detent (small hole) in the body of the housing you turn that screw into to stop the bottom lever from moving.

Ted, You may want to check the pressure on your pump. Should be around 3300 psi. If not then it is an internal job. May have problems with pressure release or leaking o rings valves. In any event Good Luck! Bill Long

Thanks for the help guys!! The 'dimple' was full of HARD grease and dirt. Once I cleaned it out I readjusted everything and it works perfect now. THANKS All. Ted

That is really GOOD NEWS! The alternate required that you remove the pump and so some inside work. Not impossible but tedious.

That lever is the draft control and to my recalection should have nuttin to do with lifting ability. Turning that screw in just locks out the draft control.

Have the draft control locked out on mine, but it slowly raises the lift without using the lever after a few minutes. Is this something internal?

You need to have everything set for lift and hold. Should be a diagram on your battery box for the different settings.

I know there is lots of things to adjust on the pump, I tried setting the traction booster system to plow one time, I only had a 3 acre field and never did get it right. the plow was in and out like a feeding porpoise.

The linkage for the feedback from the snap coupler is missing, and I have dialed out the traction control and set the other adjustments acording to the manual. But it still creeps up.

You have to move the control lever by the steering column up and then back down. You kinda find a certain spot doing this and it will not creep up in theory. You get the knack after a few times. I just watch mine close.

John try dropping the lever down alittle so the arms don't move and then bring it up some just before the arms move up. It works on mine.
