PBR has won many times over the years, even Playboy magazine rated it #1 at one time. PBR that is brewed in Milwaukee tastes better than if it brewed in Ft Worth.
I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

I am a supporter of PBR, as well Stag and a few other now 'Off Brand' beers. Old School stands toughest!! Just can't and could not ever do Natty Light!!

About 2 years ago, we had a fairly young service tech come to the company from Germany. He had been to the US a few times before. We took him out, he ordered PBR without hesitation. Said it’s the only American beer that tastes like BEER, the most like German.

I like it too.

PBR is available here only in the 30 pk cans. does not taste as good as bottles from Milwaukee, so i pass on it. Hamm's was available until recently, but distributor cited too slow of a mover so dropped it. Some of the Shiner brews arnt bad.

I don't care what AM beer it is. It doesn't hold a candle to Monninger bier in Glass bottles or on tap. Monninger brewed in Karlsruhe Germany. I haven't drank a can/bottle of AM beer in 30+ years, it all taste like Heinniken, considered be Germans to be the arm pit of beers. Sorry guys, you all drink up, I'll continue to dream about great bier.

I went out and gots me some of that new Budweiser that was aged on Jim Beam bourbon barrel staves. That’s some good chit.

I dont know about PBR being the best, seems a little far out to me.

One brewery makes it best. Genesee beer  Rochester N.Y.  since 1878

They have recently invested a lot into the company and begun making a lot of specialty beers.  And also was a huge sponsor of a lot of events.

Grew up on PBR.  It is STILL the BEST beer for making batter for fish and other things.  Nothing else comes close.  And I have tried a LOT of other beers.
I used to drink Heileman's Old Style until they went out of business.
The BEST beer,,,,,,,,,,,,,,is out of BARRELS, then bottles and then cans.  And it doesn't matter whether it's warm or cold.  (actually warm has a better flavor)  you should try it.

I haven't drunk a beer in ages, but I was always partial to Rolling Rock.  PBR was a hangover in a bottle, massive headache the next morning.  Old Milwaukee was a good choice when I was real young.

Well,,some of ya'll know bout me and my Black Label pickin on ole Shameless,,,but there is actually a some comical story bout me and thet beer,,,,,,Wink Ya see,,,me, my uncle and his best friend was headed out on a weekend Deer hunting trip and we go to the liquor store and everybody is pickin out their own beer for Friday night, Sat, and then Sunday coming home. Well, they had the Black Label for dang near half price of the Coors Light,,,so I load up 2 cases of Coors and 1 case of Black Label figuring that will get me thru the hunt,,,,Wink
Ya see,,I had this 1968 Jeep Wagoneer 4X4 that'll climb a mountan,,,and Sat bout noon  of a sudden,,I start smelling antifreeze, check the temp gauge and shut er down,,,Chit Fire,,, the bottom radiator hose has got a leak and losing the antifreeze,,,and,,,,and, we are at least 5-6 miles from the nearest road back to civilization,,!! My uncle's friend, who  knows the country tells me "If you take off cross country that a way,,they's a dirt tank that may have some water in it and you can fill this jug and make it back in 2-3 hours,,,,,We'll wait for you,,,,,
Well,,being as it is my Jeep,,I throw a couple of my Coors in back pockets and start off thinkin I be back in an hour or so,,,,,I finally find the dirt tank and fill the jug and head back thinkin we still gots some daylight to hunt a few hours yet.  Bout an hour later,,I see my Jeep comin over the far hill and sure hoping them idiots ain't runnin it without water,,,They drive up all smiles and we head out,,I ask my uncle for a cold Coors and he hands me a Black label,,I say NO,,that is for Sunday when I'm out of Coors. He again hands me a BL and I get pee'ed and ask WTH,,?? He tells me there ain't no more Coors in YOUR ice chest ,,BS,,Ya'll better not of drank my Coors,,,He tells me ,,,"We found some black tape under the seat and fixed the hose and used your Coors in the Radiator,,!!  I hollared  Why didn't you guys split up and use a little of everybody's good beer, in the radiator?? He looks me in the eye and tells me,,,,,Well,,it IS your Jeep,,,,,Sorry Effer's,,,,LOLLOL

Jay, OV is what I drank in college when we'd go across the ditch! Most everyone did Labatt Blue, cuz I think that's all they ever heard of.  I liked it!

Joe, Black Label was brewed in Frankenmuth, MI for a while back in the day.  I have a friend from there......he was the onliest one wearing a Black Label Tshirt at the parties.  I don't recall if I've ever had it....seems like it, but I don't recall the taste.

Agreed, 1st Barrels, 2nd Bottle, then cans if necessary.
