I an attempt to get the brakes working on my ACC-40. I bled through a ton of fluid. The pedal will pump up bot if you let it sit for a short time, it goes to the floor again. Not happy with that, I decided to pull the left front wheel and see what the linings, etc were looking like. Gravity struck, and I let the wheel come down onto the end of the hub, thereby taking a 1/2X2" chunk out of the brake drum. How hard are these to find, change, etc? The more I dig into this thing, the worse it gets. Anyway, after the wheel was removed, I discovered that the brake shoes, drum and everything else had oil in it. So, that may be a pinion seal where the reduction gear comes through. One thing at a time though.

i think those are still available if you can find an old dealer or a komatsu forklift dealer since they own the brand now. also if that is the style with the self adjuster friction bar on the brakes change it too as your problem can be caused bt that. while you're in there inspect the bull gears and jack shaft (if you have that set up, not sure hold old your's is) chipped teath will cause a world of hurt on those old ones

There are 3 ways to do job GOOD, FAST, CHEAP. YOU MAY CHOOSE 2. If its FAST & CHEAP it won't be GOOD, if it's GOOD & CHEAP it won't be FAST, and if its GOOD & FAST it won't be CHEAP!!!!
