I have an AC wagon that I use for hayrides. When I got it, the paint was pretty tough, so I used a needle scaler, wire wheel and sander, then neutralized the rust on rusty spots, primed and painted it.
What I didn't do is take a picture of the decal placement (I think there was only the one decal on the back), nor measure the size of the decal. Does anyone have a picture of the decal placement and the size? Also if anyone knows a good source to buy a decal, I would appreciate it. I would like it to look original, if possible.

I am pretty sure it is a 700, but I'm not sure if there is even a tag on it.

Mark, here’s an older AC forum thread that contains pics of an AC 700 ID tag, rear decal, & stenciled 700 on right rear hound.

I’d try your local print shop?
Take a picture of rear decal from the link I provided & measurements to print shop. They can scan picture, edit it, & print decal. I took measurements of my 700’s rear decal & sharing them here. Rear AC 700 decal measurements; 22 5/16” long, Letters 2 5/16” tall, 7/16” black thickness, 3/32” white borders, 1/8” space between letters at widest points. A is 3/4”top,2”base, L is 11/16”top,1 3/16”base, I is 11/16”top&base(straight), S is 1 5/16” wide, 7/16” space dash is 5/8”tall, 7/8”wide, 7/16” space, “Printed in USA” is 3/32” below, C is 1 3:8” wide, H is 1 11/16” wide, M is 2” wide, E is 1 5:16” wide, R is 1 7/16” wide, In addition, there is a decal on mid section of reach, titled “Important”. I’ll try to get a picture of it later. Important decal is; 2 3/26” tall & 3 1/8” wide, IMPORTANT is 5/16” tall, Rest of words are 3/16” tall, |

Dseries4, nice photos of your AC 800 gear. It has the more modern rear decal from 1965 & up. WF’s AC 700 has an older pre 1965 rear decal & it has no triangle hound decal like your 800. The 700 has no AC rear hound decals just stenciled “700”.
Hounds are the 2 channel braces that diagonally connect the rear axle beam (rear hounds) or front beam axle (front hounds) to their center reach (pipe). Edited by AC7060IL - 19 Apr 2023 at 4:57pm |

I went down and pulled the wagon away from the wall today. The guy that did the painting several years ago (me) never peeled the painter's tape off the tag and it doesn't come off easy after several years!
After seeing the tag, I'm thinking it is an 8 ton (800?). ![]() |

WF, yes indeed you have an AC 800 gear, serial 8 1093. Thanks for posting it's ID tag. DSeries4, what your 800's ID tag serial number?

I know mine is older, but I think it still had the same decal that Myron's has. With the work of applying one decal as opposed to every individual letter, I'm pretty sure it is going to have the single decal now!!! I'm not that much of a purist!
EDIT: I was surprised to see that the cat# on the tag was identical to Myron's, even though the tags were a completely different style.
