I've been looking to get a tedder for awhile now and happended to see one of the older A-C rakes for sale locally. Was wondering what kind of job they would do as far as tedding. That's what I would buy it for primarily. Do they do as good or similar job tedding as the more modern tedders? I'd be using it for rained on hay, alfalfa, etc. Thanks.

I have an A-C side delivery rake and it does a great job tedding.  Before I bought it though I made sure the transmission worked fine.  There is a forward low, forward high and tedding.  Good luck!  Going orange is going great!

I have an older AC tedder rake, I use it only for tedding, works great. It will rake hay good also but I use it only for tedding to save wear on it. I have a 77G rake to rake the hay with.
