10 years ago, I paid $500 @ farm auction for my AC 2000 moonbeam 6-18 in great condition with manual resets. Its still in use. In the same year, I also got a worn 2000 5-16 for free on a tractor deal. I always saw & figured about $100/bottom on used plows at auctions. But I see other higher priced AC plows on Craigslist. And, some are still listed, so...??

I used to be an equipment salesman for different lines of farm equipment thro my earlier years but farming now. Sold White, MF, Gehl, Owatonna, Bervac, Woods, Wilrich, Bush Hog, sold thro the Dakon & Lindsey Bros catalog, Brent, Unverferth, John Deere, & now with farming & selling used equipment on consignment. I recently am selling a Allis Chalmers 4 Btm 16" reset plow with the canister for the trip action, has 3 tires, lower 3 pt link hookup, Have also a 3 btm plow of the same style but missing tire on tail wheel. We are a Century Farm as now its 107 yrs old & in that time have had the AC pull type combine, & a "C" tractor with a Woods lawn mower deck, sorry to say its been mostly IH, MH & MF & now JD. MY Uncle had a AC D-19 dsl, 190 dsl, 7040, & 7060 tractors, a AC 4 btm disc plow, Gleaner C combine. AC around here had more dealers but in the last 20 yrs has faded out almost completely except for the Cat construction dealer is the AGCO outfit. These two plows do they garner any affection amongst anyone be it farmers or collectors or part time farmers or yourselves? I will place on the AD side but just wondering with the thought of these two items & what place they hold in the market.
