called about an AC tractor today. He said it has been restored but no decals. He don't know what he has.    AC tractor no in front of gear shift 200931. Motor number 33019-31. Narrow front. Hand clutch and foot clutch. Any ideas What it is or worth?

If the # by the gear shift is the tractor #, it should start with a letter, which would be the model. Otherwise it is probably a casting #.

Ok Guess I will go see for myself. That was all the information i could get from him, after 3 calls. He said he traded for it and know much about it. Maybe I will know more after weekend. Where would the serial no. be located on a wd or wd45.

Standing behind the tractor, look on the left side of the rearend there is a flat spot about 5 inches below the brake inspection cover. There will be a # stamped in starting with WD. |

if the tractor #, serial # is by the shifter and it has a foot clutch and a hand clutch then it is a CA. But the serial #'s don't go that high for the CA.  Bob

Some early WD's are stamped to the right side of the left brake cover.

To some people, restoring means to paint, no model # required.

It is possible that it only got paint. The owner traded for  it. He didn't do anything to the tractor. Only drive it from road to barn. It could be anything even not ac. He said it was 5 speed. Factory 3 point hitch. Wet lines. No decals just paint. Will know in a couple of days. Thanks for info.

If it's a 5 speed with factory 3 point, my first guess would be it's not an Allis. If it's sort of orange maybe it's a Case or just totally the wrong color. Check under the tractor by the bolts on the top lip of the oil pan or hard to reach spots under the radiator for places where they may have painted over some grease and oil. Sometimes paint will hold the oil back for a while and after you put some miles on it the leaks show up. Learned that from experience.

This is a wd snap coupler hitch. Has a 3 point put on it.Rear tires about 60%. front tires 90%. Paint good but some small dints in hood. Battery box not complete some rust. No leaks detected. Gas engine. Now now the question. What is it worth if it runs ok?

So was it a 4 speed, not a 5, or is it 5 with reverse? Is it a narrow front or wide front and are the spinout rims on the back rusted at the valve stems? Around here with good rims and a narrow front maybe $600-$700, a few hundred more for a wide front. Do you know what the serial # was? WD and WD45 both start with WD.
