Is there not a number on the bearing itself or could you not take the bearing out and take them to your bearing suppliers so they can match them up

You likely have the part numbers from the ED40 parts book at AGCOpartsbooks. If not what I found were 70715042 cup and 70715043 bearing and cage; no luck crossing them to something else as yet however. I wonder if AGCO might have them.

Good luck with finding some parts. I would try to match the bearings themselves. You will have better luck in the UK then I am having in the US. I'm still on the look out for a tachometer/hour meter, mine is just a shell.

Get yourself a cheap dial caliper, and measure the bore, the depth, and the shaft  OD.
That is all you really need to find replacement bearings if you have a  good supply house close by.

Maybe worth a check with Sandy Lake to see if they might have any ideas. They have an add in the store here, email and phone contact info.
