If anybody knows, it's Dick L. Seems like he stuck the internals from a D15 engine inside the original block a while back.

Yes the 149 will fit. The 4 bolts that hold the pestal on the CA engine is 1/2" and the 149 is 5/8" so you will need special studs or drill the holes out on the pestal to fit 5/8" bolts. Use the CA flywheel and clutch. Top water hose will have to be a sharp 90 deg. bend to work or you will have make a custom water neck to use the temp gauge.I thank that is about it. I have CA with a 149 stroker in been pulling for 8 or 9 years now.

| Those tires are 13.6-28 ,tire rule here in NC states no larger than 13.6 in 2700 to 3700 lbs classes. This tractor makes 45 hp on the pto at stock RPM. Will put 2 nd gear at all pulls around here at 3.5 with power to spare, 3 nd gear if the speed limit is 6 or higher on a dry hard track.I also have a D10 that has 36" rubber on it and has a few more ponys under the hood. I will help with motor spec by PM or phone call. Jamie  | |

If you use the CA stepped studs it is not nessacery to drill out the front casting. The CA blocks were drilled and taped to 5/8"

No! I have not pulled for five years and probably will not pull again. I thought for over ten years that I had to pull two or more tractors most summer weekends. Lack of funds put a stop to it. I stroked a B and C for pulling and pulled Oliver 66,77 and 88 as well as a Farmall C. Those were just well running, slightly over spec stock tractors. I still have two CA tractors that need to be rebuilt. I will not build them for pullers. | |
