Allis-Chalmers made at least one hand crank square baler knotterr demonstration stand. I demonstrated it at The Allis Connection show several times. Someone local to Amana said they would store the stand and I can't remember who it was. We would like to demo the knotter stand again this year as tying a knot on a baler is mystifying to lots of folks. We sure would like to find it back. And even if you have used some of the parts, like the knotters themselves, we still would like to get it back, no questions asked. Otherwise, does anyone have another one that they would loan to The Allis Connection or sell it to us? Please email me at byerlyd@acegroup.cc or callme at 563-419-1169 Thanks for reading this post and God Bless. |

Can't help on the stand. But which balers and time frame would that have been from? All the Allis 300 and 400 series square balers used Rasspe knotters - the same as New Holland, Deere, and most other companies (Allis and NH used the exact same model of Rasspe knotters, while Deere, Deutz, Oliver, Hesston used a slightly different model - pretty much identical, just with some very slightly different geometry). I know other companies also had stands to demonstrate the Rasspe knotters they used, so if you're having trouble finding the Allis stand, you may find one from another company as the knotter will be the same.
