Parallel arms should be horizontal when planting. Seed box lid must be parallel to the ground.

Thank you and I will make sure all is on the level. One more question, How does one get the back wheel to cover the seed. I have seen videos where the back wheel doesn't cover the seed especially on the no till ones on non disked or tilled ground. Thank you.Dan

There are/were attachments to help with that, such as dragging a twisted chain behind the drive wheel, different shapes of wheels etc. The first thing to do is SLOW DOWN. No-till can't be fast.....drive 3 MPH instead of 5 MPH.

Worn disk openers are a main contributor to plugging the seed tube.

Worn disc openers indeed will cause this plugging. The disc openers must be large enough in diameter that they actually touch/pinch together at some point to keep soil from getting in-between them. You represented this planter as being rebuilt. I would think the disc openers weren't worn out, but maybe they are.

Yes everything is almost as good as new. The reason I asked is because I let it sit and sank into the wet ground and the seed shoot got clogged. The soil where it was sitting. Not sure if should of clogged from just sinking about 2 or 3 inches on the one side..Yes the disk are touching at the bottom or real close..

make sure you are moving in a forward direction before lowering planter, also do not let tractor roll back if stopping to raise planter.

X2 what JoeO says, also check inside tubes for spider nests/webs, that will always cause plugging.
