I have an AC 716 garden tractor I bought a year ago. It runs great but as with all old tractors I find myself fixing old "Repairs" .
The PTO clutch was seized when I purchased it. I have it freed up and working but can not keep the adjusting lock nut from backing off. Do you think Lock tight will fix it or am I overlooking something else?

I am in central NY between Syracuse and Albany, about half way to each.
I am referring to the big lock nut that hold the PTO hub on the shaft and in adjustment.
It looks like it was a lock nut but it keeps backing off the shaft.
