After spending time reading everyone’s post here I finally joined.
But I also have a question;
I bought the delco-Remy gear reduction starter for my 7040.
Would anyone happen to have a wiring guide for the gear reduction starter .

Do a Google search for Allis Chalmers 7000 series gear reduction starter. Should bring up a post when from here when I did a 7060. Has a picture that may help you.

This one? Yeah it’s hard to tell where the small wiring is going in that pic. Aside from the positive & negative. Did you use the plug on the end? And did you have make any other wiring? (Besides the negative cable).) A524EC9D-06B4-4BCC-B48F-7E1D6911F026.jpeg

Sorry don't have the tractor anymore and really can't remember. Did you try looking at a Delco website for more info? If you called the place I got my starter from I bet they would help you. Really nice folks.
