Hello, We're in the process of rebuilding the seat on our 180 (new bushings, etc) We're now trying to put it back together and having a hard time remembering how everything fit together, unfortunately we forgot to take pictures during the teardown so we're shooting in the dark trying to get this back together. Is there anyone here with a 180, possibly also a 170, 185, or 190 that would be willing to snap some pictures and help us get this together again, I think our problem lies either in the location where the bottom of the shock is mounted, or the final piece that the seat is pinned on, probably both. If anyone has a picture, or could get one it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Erik |

Erik - take a look at the last few pics of this album on my D17 Series IV which included some of me redoing the seat suspension which is the same as the 170/175 and similar to parts on the 180/185. Mike

Thanks, I think I'm getting closer, what I have built up looks similar to the pictures from your D-17, Where I'm running into a problem now is the bar that the bottom of the shock attaches to has to be down low so the assembly can slide into the track, but with it in the right position it's impossible to lift the locking arm up high enough to clear. |
