I have come across a couple of basically abandoned Allis tractors.  One is a C and one is a CA.  Neither has been run for Lord knows how long, but the engines are free on both of them.  They've been sitting inside of a pole barn untouched for probably 20-30 years.
The CA actually looks pretty good.........decent paint, looks complete to me.  Rear tires are flat.

The C looks like it was either in the middle of or just got done getting some work done to it.  Engine parts lying all around the area, but the engine on the tractor appears to be assembled and complete.  Sheet metal lying all around.  Battery missing, tires flat, no seat. Paint not nearly as good as the CA. A project.........

I have the opportunity to buy one or both of these tractors.  Wondering what thoughts are of a good price to offer.  I'm a collector, not a re-seller, but I generally like to buy stuff that I know runs and looks bad, rather than stuff that looks pretty good but may not run.  I'm better at cosmetic stuff than internal stuff....................

I think I can get them fairly cheap.

Seems to me if the price is right you can keep one and sell the other and come out with an almost free tractor.  (Although, like lunch, there is no such thing as a free tractor!)

Just have to ask, does the "C" has the rear light still on it?

Offer scrap price for the pair ($150/ton around here), many parts are interchangeable between the 2....and readily available for those not. Both are "basic" machines and can be rehabbed with minimal mechanical ability.
Lots of help available on this site should you have questions on "how to" or were to obtain parts.
