Did some repair work on myWD45 hydraulics, ready to refill the system. Any reason I wouldn't want to refill the hydraulic system with 821 fluid? It would be one less lubricant to keep on hand if I do.

It's a way better choice than the 20w nd that came in it when new. All my tractor have modern UTF in them. Dont have to wait an extended time to warm up when cold at 20 below I had to wait 20 to 30 minutes after starting before I could lift the loader.

My 220 shares some small things with my 45 so the 45 got switched to power fluid years ago.

I run the 20w John Deere hydraulic oil through the hydraulics and power steering on my 45…
Reason why is because everything else has it and it seems to work just right in the winter and summer. |
