    Posted: 21 Apr 2021 at 10:35pm
I'm in the middle of restoring my 8070 FWA and am planning to change all the fluids.  It's up on blocks right now with all the wheels off for painting and seemed like a good time to change the front axle oil.

What weight oil should I use in the front axle?  What the service manual says or is there something else that's superior?  Same weight for the final drives and the diff?

TIA

I don't have an Owners manual, but if 80/90 is the spec, I would definitely use 75W-140 synthetic oil. A much better quality oil that replaces old technology.
