I have three questions about some electrical on my 8050. I blew a hydraulic line yesterday and had to take the fuel tank off to repair. After taking the left side tank down, I see some poorly repaired wires, and some loose wires.
![]() Question 1: I see this loose brown wire hanging from the hydraulic line. It is a brown wire. It goes to the Hydraulic Filter housing. This is the sending unit to the hydraulic filter light on the dash. But I cannot find where the wire went, as I do not see any other loose wires from above. Any thoughts on where the other half of this wire might be found? Question 2: Below my hand in the above picture is the Transmission Temp Sensor. The sensor is broken, and needs to be replaced. There is no wires going or coming near this unit. Again, where would I look for these wires and how they connect to the cab. ![]() Question 3: Just below the right door, there is a white wire that is broken. Based on the length of the two halves, I assume they go together. I am trying to identify what they are. This, and the associated yellow wire behind, go up to the dash, and up to the shift console. Are these for the Power Director switch? Does it have a sensor on the shift tower? I know that they are not the FWA wires, since those are still connected and working. I have the AC service manual, and associated electrical diagrams, but was hoping for some first hand experience on where to look for the connection of the wires. Thank you, John

I'd start with a good trans wash. Then you will see where the sensor is by the filter. Yes to splicing the white wires.

Also, if you have a 8010 it will be similar.
