So I was cutting hay with my 8050 and the PTO stopped. When I went to look at it the 1000 rpm shaft had started to come out of the 540 hollow shaft. After looking at parts manual pics and the book I think the castle nut that holds that 1000 rpm ring in place has come off/loose.
Can I access that from underneath? And just (providing there is no damage) put the castle nut back on with a new retaining wire or is there something in completely missing? Thanks! |

Everything is accessible after removing plate and letting the oil drip out for a day. If the castle nut came off or moved that much, you will more likely than not not have bearing and or seal issues.
