The steering box on the 8030 fWA is leaking around the shaft is the normal fix a seal kit? Or a whole new box? Is their any way to know for sure

Seal kit for the orbitrol usually takes care of the leak.

Seal kit for my 7060 was around $26.00. Its more work to get the steering motor out than to fix the leak...IIRC all you will need is a packing and a couple o-rings...worst part for me was the mess it made...
