Edwin,

My offer of $2000 for just the machine is still available, think on it if you want the machine gone, I do not need the ripper.
It is however subject to inspection prior to a full sale.

Its costly and time consuming to get a machine reduced to short iron. To part it out yourself, it will take a very long time if you want 300 for a used pump. The true value of any imobilised machine is what the parting out yards or scrap yards will pay for it where it sits.  I`ve looked at dozens of machines over the years where the owners have a very different idea of the value. Some are still sitting there 30 years later

Oops- pushed wrong button

The ball is in the scrap man's court these days, unfortunately.  There are three problems facing the used parts man:
1) Labor- you need someone who can take the parts off without ruining them, and it doesn't come cheap- often the labor to strip the parts exceeds what they are worth, and you can't discount your own time either...
2) These machines aren't being used enough in general to require frequent repairs, so it's a long wait... most parts yards only want later model equipment.
3) Shipping and logistics.  I've paid $1000 to ship a pallet with $500 worth of parts on it- it just doesn't make sense.
Another problem (at least in our country) is that once you start tearing down, you've got to keep going and get the parts inside, or they will be ruined by weather in short order.

I started tearing down an old HD11B in 2002, and I still have lots of parts left- it took ten years to break even on it, and I used half of the parts myself.  It has been great as a donor tractor, (always nice to have parts on hand for a machine you are using) but if I hadn't had other 11s, I'd still be in the hole on that one.
Bottom line- best chance for a non running machine is someone who already has one or two and doesn't mind sitting on a donor tractor.  My 2 cents...

Edwin, will call on Friday, my next day off.  May be able to come see it to see if there is enough left on it to warrant $2500.    Still do not need a ripper.
