I know a guy with a maroon belly 7580 that has been sitting in a shed for 20 years give or take. Looks nice by the pics on his phone but it doesn't run very long after you start it up then it quits. He says he thinks the fuel tank is plugged with rust but he's just guessing. It was his dad's when it got parked and he passed away a while back. Cab needs interior replaced. They rebuilt the engine but the engine kept overheating afterwards and that's why it got parked. I don't know a thing more about it. He was thinking $3000 but his brother wants almost 3 times that. What's it worth without knowing more? Thanks.

I would lean a lot more towards his 3K figure than his brother's number. Darrel

Duals all the way around? And what condition are those in? Might be the most valuable part of the tractor, depending on the running and overheating issues.

Sitting for 20 years $3000 might be plenty. Come June I might sell my 7580 and it for the most part is field ready and has a Cummins.

Scrap value honestly. By the time you fix everything to get it usable including at least 4 probably 8 tires you be way over 10 grand. Tell em to put it on an auction with a 9 thousand dollar reserve! £
Rough cab interior is another knock against it. Call the nearest junk yard and a let it help out the still running 7580’s. For parts Edited by skateboarder68 - 01 Apr 2020 at 3:58pm |

Can certainly relate to the crop prices and money spending concept.

If you can't steal it I'd leave it alone. You don't need an expensive project

In about 1986, bought a 1981 7580 with a spun bearing on the crankshaft, for $6,900.00. Tractor was really nice looking, and had eight good tires. The deal was that if we bought the crankshaft from the dealer, he would sell us all of the rest of the parts for cost. Parts bill was still $10 - $12,000. So I would say 3 - $4,000 would be my top end.
