Bought a 7040 last weekend and as usual when I buy a tractor I want to do a complete service. Does anyone have filter numbers they could share and fluid type and capacities? Thank you.

Get a 30 gallon barrel of trans/hydraulic oil that meets AGCO 821XL or AGCO PermaTran specs. Rear end holds 17 gallons.... run a couple more than that. Transmission holds 7 1/2 gallons do not overfill it. You will have 3 to 5 gallons leftover to use as oil is needed to add. Use AGCO hyd filters or you may be sorry later on. Get an Owners manual to learn/see how to change those two belly filters.

Yeah I'd recommend a owners manual. Make sure you follow it for changing the 2 filters for the rear/diff hydraulics.

Holy cow went to Agco dealer today and between the parking brake cable two filters and thirty gallons of perma Trans I was at $800 and ordered the rest of the filters and she couldn’t give me a price until she orders and they figure shipping. They are going to ship them direct to me. She said to expect another $800. It a going to cost half of what the tractor cost to service it. Ok sorry rant it over lol. Once it’s done then I know what I have. Have done every tractor I have bought the same way. Service everything and start new!
