Anyone on the Forum get the 7030 open station on Purple Wave auction in Kansas today?  Looked like a fairly straight tractor. Got one like it but never hurts to have two.  Sat here and watched it sell but just could not push the bid key. Got too many things going on right now.

I've been sort of looking/shopping for another tractor, locally that would have been a reasonable buy.

Luke, it takes two people wanting it to get a good auction going, unless the auctioneer is really good....

I realize how an auction works. Just saying it seemed overpriced for run down 7030 open station.

Would have brought quite a bit more than that around here. Seems like a decent deal in my opinion. Looks pretty straight and all that, just been sitting.

I was interested in it. I still use the 70 series tractors and sometimes the open station is nicer to run than a cab. I have a 7030 open station and one with the ROPS, and I'm not too far from that one. I talked to the seller and it last ran 5 years ago and he said the power director wouldn't stay in high, said it would just go back to low.
With that in mind I was not the buyer. I was curious if anyone here ended up with it or if it stayed local.

Luke, I wasn't trying to insult your intelligence, just attempting to be humorous.  I have been at sales where the other bidder must have been a mile or so away as the auctioneer kept pointing to the back of the crowd, where there was no one.  Made me wonder who the other bidder was.
