Changing the injectors on my 7030,I've got the old ones out and see the new ones have 2 felt washers. The old ones had a rubber sealing washer that was hard as a rock, I'm just curious is there a reason a person wouldn't use some kind of sealant around the injector to keep moisture out instead of the felt washers. Thanks

Two felt washers was what they used. That thick rubber one was used on later engines altho they do get used where two felt ones go as well. Antiseize the injector bodies to help prevent rusting in the bores.

I like the thicker rubber best. If copper at bottom don't seal, the thick ones will sound like a fart.                       MACK
