Topic: 7010 Loader Plumbing QuestionPosted: Yesterday at 9:03am |

I have a loader on my 7010 that currently runs off 2 remotes. In an effort to simplify control and free up the remotes, I’m adding a dedicated loader control valve and a joystick. Will I be able to T into the pressure line coming out of the piston pump to get my loader supply oil, or does the oil have to travel through the priority valve behind the cab first? I’m trying to make sense of what the book says about sending oil through the compensator line to stroke the pump, and it’s making me think I can’t tie in down by the pump, but I wanted to make sure.

You need a closed center load sensing valve. You need to tee into the compensator line to stroke the pump. Where to send the return oil is the next question. Good luck with your project

This is the valve I have. Will it work? As far as the return, I was planning on running a hose back to the top sight glass unless there’s a better option. |

Sorry but no sir. It has to be a load sensing valve that had a signal line to go to the compensator on the piston pump

I think it was Joe(TX) that covered this same thing several years ago, IIRC, surplus city has a compensated joy stick that works for this same application. I thought I saved it, but years and puter meltdowns, it's lost now,, Ya might search Joe's posts and eventually find it,,
I was going to do this same thing to my 8010 with loader,, jus never found that "round to-it"

All of this leads into another question, how would I go about adding an electric third function? I’m wanting to use my grapple with buttons on the joystick.
Michael, I found the thread. I’ll see if I can find the valve they’re talking about. https://www.allischalmers.com/forum/8010-joystick_topic164855.html Edited by CrestonM - Yesterday at 12:28pm |

You may jus hafta use one of the remotes for the grapple..
If ya need that one,, unplug it,, you prolly not gonna be using the loader and rear implements at the same time.. |

That is true, and it may come to that. Just figured if I was going to do it, I’d do it as best I could. Going to be using the grapple a lot this summer and fall so the convenience of the electric third function would be nice.

You could get a 3 spool valve insted if a 2 spool and get a single cable actuator handke and mount it close to your joystick. I think bunker hill cables could help you with that

If you choose to return oil thru a sight-glass....use the LOWER one. Keep the oil level up to the top sight-glass.
